Rida is a bright and upcoming tennis sensation of Pakistan. She has won back to back 5 tournaments since OCT 2013. At the moment she is completing her A Levels from Lahore Grammar School and striving to bring her rank up. Rida is passionate about tennis and is keen to achieve a name for her country in international arena. here is a short interview of this young talent from Pakistan.
Q1) where do you see yourself in future?
“Focus on the present and the future will take care of itself. That is what I believe in.”
Q2) How you prepare for your games?
“Preparing your self for a tournament takes a lot of effort. I follow a strict routine of practicing for 6 days a week. The routine starts from the wee hours of the morning and needs a lot of discipline each day.”
Q3)What does Tennis mean to you?
“Tennis can be a lonely game. There comes a point where you are isolated from your family, friends as time is consumed in playing the game. Everything is temporary so is that period of loneliness. My passion for tennis is permanent and that I love and enjoy. The passion keeps me going.”
Q4) what is your reaction when you lose a game?
“Opportunities like what I have been presented come once in a life time and I want to make the most of it. Defeat for me is when one gives up. I come from the school of thought to never give up as giving up is defeat in itself.”
