Ammar Ahmed Tarin

My journey has become to connect the resourceful with the resource less.

11 years back we started with a huge agenda yet a very simple concept; ONE teacher; ONE room; ONE school. Fast forward to date we have empowered people and have 125 schools opened throughout Pakistan.

How did you do that?

Well, most of our schools are in Masjid’s. What we realized was that Masjid’s are free from the Fajar prayer (early morning) to Zuhr prayers (around noon). We grasped this ‘time’ opportunity and opened a school during that time in one of the rooms in the Masjid. As there are so many masjid’s throughout Pakistan, this idea became a success. This idea helped us to understand multi utilization of assets, in addition to empower children of the area so that a whole generation can be changed by education. Education is the only and foremost thing needed to change the nation as it gives way to a better understanding.”
